  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, brown sugar, softened butter, all-purpose flour, egg, almond extract, and a pinch of salt using a hand mixer until just combined.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry into an 11×11 square and cut into twenty-four 2×2 inch squares.
  4. Press each square into a mini muffin pan cavity and fill with about 1 tablespoon of the almond mixture. Top with sliced almonds.
