  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 flour tortillas (for chips)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Stir well and cook for about 10–15 minutes until the apples are tender.
  2. Mix cornstarch with a little cold water until smooth; add to the apple mixture while stirring continuously. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  3. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut flour tortillas into triangles and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spray with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle with a mix of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  4. Bake tortilla chips for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
