  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 brioche buns
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill (or fresh)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives (or fresh)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the homemade ranch dressing by mixing mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and seasonings in a bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts using a kitchen mallet and coat them with the spice mixture.
  3. Sear the seasoned chicken in a preheated cast iron skillet with olive oil for about 7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  4. Cook bacon in a non-stick skillet until crispy and drain on paper towels.
  5. Toast the brioche buns in the same skillet used for chicken.
  6. Assemble by spreading ranch dressing on each bun and layering with lettuce, sliced chicken, and bacon.
