  • 1 sheet Frozen puff pastry
  • 4 oz Cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 3 TBSP White granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/3 cup White granulated sugar
  • 1 TBSP Water
  • 1 Large egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tsp Water (for egg wash)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1 TBSP Milk
  • 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Thaw one sheet of frozen puff pastry and preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 4-inch squares.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each square, fold corners towards the center, and pinch to seal.
  5. Cook blueberries with sugar and water in a saucepan until thickened for topping.
  6. Brush pastries with an egg wash (egg mixed with water) before baking for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Drizzle cooled pastries with a glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract before serving.
