  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta until al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture; stir for 1 minute before gradually adding chicken broth and whisking to eliminate lumps.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, sour cream, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; simmer until thickened (3–5 minutes).
  6. Combine cooked pasta and shredded chicken with the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with mozzarella, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
