  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  2. Melt 6 oz of chopped chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth; let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined—do not overmix. Chill dough for at least a few hours.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Shape the chilled dough into balls and place on lined baking sheets.
