  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (base)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (filling)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (base)
  • 1/4 cup softened butter (filling)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar (base), melted butter, and salt. Mix well and press into the prepared pan.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar (filling), and ground cinnamon. Spread this mixture over the oat base.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  5. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bars before slicing.
