Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta by boiling salted water in a large pot. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook each breast for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter and minced garlic; sauté for one minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and stir until thickened.
  4. Slice the rested chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss gently in the creamy sauce until well coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with extra seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
