  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 23 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
  • Fresh toppings: chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat for 7-10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water; simmer until thickened.
  4. Unroll crescent rolls into a jelly roll pan, pressing edges up the sides.
  5. Bake crust for 11-13 minutes until golden.
  6. Heat refried beans in the microwave for 1 minute.
  7. Spread refried beans on the baked crust, then layer with seasoned beef and cheese.
  8. Add fresh toppings and return to the oven for an additional 3-6 minutes until cheese melts.
  9. Let cool slightly before slicing to serve.
