  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 396 g heavy cream (chilled)
  • 100 g strawberry jam
  • 10 medium-sized fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • Additional fresh strawberries (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 8-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cake flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add egg yolks, oil, and vanilla to dry ingredients; whisk until smooth.
  4. Divide batter evenly between the pans. Bake for 20–22 minutes until golden.
  5. Cool cakes in pans before transferring to a wire rack.
