Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound wild-caught large shrimp
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup white wine or chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Kosher salt
  • Red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Prep the shrimp by thawing if frozen, peeling, and deveining them. Place in a bowl.
  2. Marinate shrimp with 2 tablespoons olive oil, half the minced garlic, kosher salt, and red pepper flakes for 20 minutes.
  3. Heat remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated shrimp until opaque (1 to 1½ minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté remaining garlic until fragrant. Add white wine and lemon juice; simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Return shrimp to skillet, stir in remaining butter, and cook for another minute until heated through. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
