  • 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (or 1 cup all-purpose flour + 1½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blend the cottage cheese until smooth. In a large bowl, mix blended cottage cheese with the egg.
  3. Add self-rising flour (or all-purpose flour mixture), Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and salt; mix until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Lightly flour your surface and divide the dough into four portions. Roll each into a rope about 6–7 inches long and connect ends to form bagels.
  5. Brush each bagel with beaten egg wash and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
  6. Bake for 22–25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
