  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 ½ cups orzo pasta
  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion for 6–8 minutes until browned. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Stir in tomato paste, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes; cook for another minute.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  4. Incorporate orzo pasta, cover, and reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for about 10–12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes until creamy.
