  • 1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
  • 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach

Instructions

  1. In a soup pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned (5-6 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add chopped onion and continue cooking for another 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, red pepper flakes (if using), Italian seasoning, and orzo pasta; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a bubble and reduce heat to simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Remove from heat; fold in parmesan cheese and fresh spinach. Cover for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
