  • 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp green onions (chopped)
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup steamed broccoli

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken: Combine chicken, baking soda, salt, orange juice, soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch in a bowl. Let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Prepare sauce: In another bowl, mix orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce (if using), cornstarch, orange zest, minced garlic, ginger, red chili flakes, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  3. Cook chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated chicken for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Combine with sauce: Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Final touches: Stir in sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
