  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Slice chicken breasts into thinner pieces and season with salt and pepper. Coat each piece evenly in flour.
  3. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt remaining butter over medium-low heat, add garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey; let simmer for 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the pan to coat in the sauce for one minute before serving garnished with green onions.
