  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard

Instructions

  1. Slice the onion and honeycrisp apple thinly. Season beef chops with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil if needed. Sear beef chops for 3–4 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet; add sliced onions and sauté for 3–5 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in apple butter, water, and whole grain mustard; let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Return beef chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and add optional herbs if desired.
  6. Cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for an additional 10–12 minutes until the beef is cooked through.
