  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan by lining it with foil or spraying it with cooking spray.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In another bowl, cream softened butter with dark brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract one at a time, then mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
  3. Gently fold in the chopped apples into the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While baking, prepare the maple glaze by mixing melted butter with brown sugar, maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  6. Once baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the warm maple glaze over the blondies before cutting them into squares.
