  • 1 pound uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 (24-ounce) jars marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 medium onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ricotta, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
  3. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook spaghetti for about 8 minutes; drain.
  4. In a skillet, brown Italian sausage with chopped onion for about 10 minutes; add minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
  5. Combine sausage mixture with drained spaghetti and marinara sauce in the pot.
  6. Layer half of the pasta mixture in a greased 9×13 baking dish, followed by half of the cheese mixture.
  7. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; uncover and broil until golden brown.
