Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Cook for 3–4 minutes until browned; then remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add rice to the skillet, stirring well to coat in the garlic butter mixture. Toast rice for about 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to low, simmering for 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  5. Fluff rice with a fork, return steak bites to the skillet, stir everything together, and heat through for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
