  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 medium yellow onions
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ⅔ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by combining warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy. Mix olive oil, garlic, and salt; add to yeast mixture and gradually stir in flour. Cover and let rise for about an hour.
  2. In a skillet, caramelize sliced onions in butter and olive oil. Add ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; cook until browned.
  3. For the sauce, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, black pepper, parsley, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Press risen dough into a cast iron skillet or baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes until puffed. Spread sauce over crust and layer cooked beef mixture with cheeses on top. Bake again until cheese is bubbly and golden.
