  • 1 medium green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 cup bell peppers (red or yellow), sliced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips. Chop the cabbage and slice bell peppers. Mince garlic and grate ginger.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, chicken broth, sesame oil, and cornstarch mixture until smooth.
  3. Heat a skillet over high heat with vegetable oil. Sear the beef until browned but not cooked through (about 3 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry garlic, ginger, cabbage, and bell peppers until tender-crisp (about 5 minutes).
  5. Return beef to the skillet along with the sauce. Cook until bubbling and thickened (about 2 minutes).
  6. Serve over rice or noodles as desired.
