  • 4 strips bacon (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot (finely diced)
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 16 oz package shelf-stable gnocchi
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut the garlic head's top quarter, drizzle with olive oil and salt, wrap in foil, and roast for 50 minutes.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter in the leftover bacon fat, then sauté shallots until softened.
  4. Squeeze roasted garlic into the skillet; add chicken broth, cream, salt, and pepper. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in gnocchi; simmer until cooked through and sauce thickens, about 8 minutes.
