  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper; cook until browned (3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced red bell pepper until softened (about 5 minutes).
  3. Boil salted water in a pot; cook pasta until al dente as per package instructions. Drain.
  4. Add beef broth to the skillet; bring to simmer. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning; thicken for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return steak to skillet; add drained pasta and cheddar cheese. Stir until well mixed and cheese melts.
  6. Serve hot, garnishing with chopped green onions.
