  • 1 medium cauliflower
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 12 tbsp Sriracha sauce (to taste)
  • Honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if using), and enough water to form a batter.
  2. Coat cauliflower florets in the batter until evenly covered.
  3. Spread the coated cauliflower on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In another bowl, combine sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, Sriracha, honey/maple syrup, ginger, garlic, cornstarch, and water; whisk until smooth.
  5. Toss baked cauliflower in the sauce until well coated and serve garnished with sesame seeds and spring onions.
