  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon whipping cream (if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, lemon zest, milk, sour cream, and lemon juice to the butter mixture; combine well.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with batter and bake for about 16 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
