  • 4 (6 oz) fresh fish fillets (tilapia or cod)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse fish fillets under cold water and pat dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix minced garlic and lime juice. Pour over fish fillets and marinate for 20 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together coconut milk, chopped lemongrass, and fish sauce.
  4. Set up your steamer basket over simmering water. Place marinated fish in the basket and pour half of the coconut lemongrass sauce over it. Cover and steam for 8-10 minutes until flaky.
  5. Serve on plates drizzled with remaining coconut lemongrass sauce and garnish with cilantro.
