Ingredients

  • Spiral ham (1 lb per person)
  • Chicken broth (1 cup)
  • Oranges (2, sliced)
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice (1 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1½ cups)
  • Honey (1 cup)
  • Butter (4 tbsp)
  • Bourbon (or rum) (1/8 cup)
  • Ground allspice (1 tsp)
  • Ground cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • Ground ginger (1 tsp)
  • Ground clove (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Place spiral ham in a roasting pan; add chicken broth and orange slices.
  3. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20–30 minutes until hot.
  4. In a pot, combine orange juice, brown sugar, butter, honey, bourbon, and spices; heat until blended.
  5. Remove ham from the oven, pour half the glaze over it, and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Switch to broil for 5 minutes until caramelized.
  7. Serve immediately with remaining glaze drizzled on top.
