  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil for frying
  • 4 brioche buns
  • Optional: yum yum sauce, avocado, green onions

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, prepare the sesame slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Toss well and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, combine ground chicken, teriyaki sauce, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and salt. Mix gently and form into four patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with avocado oil. Cook patties for 3-5 minutes on one side until golden brown; flip and cook another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
  4. Lightly toast brioche buns in the same skillet.
  5. Assemble burgers by spreading yum yum sauce on buns, adding chicken patties, and topping with sesame slaw.
